'Together Everyone Achieves More'

Another few weeks have passed (a long weekend thrown in the middle) and we are now starting week 6 of school. On Friday some of our students attended a year 6 transition day at Maffra Secondary College, with more of our year 6 students attending their transition days in the weeks to come. It is certainly a space for mixed emotions as the reality of high school sets in. But onwards and upwards! Let's enjoy each and everyday we have together.

Cowwarr PS is also very excited as we begin our transition program for our new 2025 Foundation students. For the next 5 Tuesdays we will see some new faces across the school. This will also include our new 2025 classroom teacher, Miss. Anneesha Bortoletti. Miss. B will be at the school on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th December. We are super excited to have Miss. B join the team and are grateful that she will be here for Statewide Transition on Tuesday 10th December. A wonderful opportunity for students and families to have a 'meet and greet' with their new teacher for 2025.

Preparations have begun for the end of year celebrations. For our end of year concert, there will be a mixture of short plays and student talents. This is the student's concert and the student's end of year celebrations, so we like to showcase and include what is important to our young people.

Students have started their term 4 swimming program this week. This will be 8 sessions over 4 days. Victorian schools are required to delivery swimming and water safety education as part of the Health and Physical Education curriculum. At Cowwarr we have always prided ourselves on delivering this important life saving skill to our young people. It is expected that all students participate in our term 4 swimming program, just like we would with all other curriculum areas at school.

A reminder as we approach the end of this busy term, we will be communicating school news and updates via Compass. If you have any issues with Compass or log on details, please come in and see Mrs. Bassett in the office.

Thank you Team!
