REGIONAL BASKETBALL

We had a great day out at regional basketball on Friday! Despite the warm weather and some minor injuries and sickness, the girls powered through and took home Runners Up in the region!

We had a close loss against Lavella 24-22, just losing some steam at the end of the game. Special mention to Zahli Dixon for scoring an amazing 3 pointer buzzer beater to close the margin! We then played Nagel and won convincingly with all our girls getting on the score board and supporting each other, finishing with a score of 39-8. Our last game was a decider for who would get runners up against Marist as we were both on the same points. The girls played hard and came away with a convincing win of 35-14.

All the girls played outstanding, showed great sportsmanship, and supported each other both on and off the court. Each of the girls played with a smile and aimed to enjoy themselves, which they did. It was a pleasure to coach these girls and a big thanks to Tara Zeally and Kiera Dixon who came along and supported the girls through scoring and timekeeping. Also, thanks to Sarina for coming along and being our team manager, making sure the girls had their lollies and full water bottles.
