Transitioning Through School

This year our school has had a dedicated focus on enhancing our students' experience as they prepare to transition to the next year of school. Whilst we've been publicly acknowledged by the Department of Education for our Kinder - Prep Transition program, led by teacher Emily Campbell, our student survey data reflected that some students feel uneasy transitioning through the school. 

This year, a dedicated team of staff have set about planning an impactful program that supports seamless transitions through a child's schooling. This has involved our year-level teaching teams welcoming students up from the previous year-level and introducing them to what learning will look like next year. The series of lessons aimed to familiarise students with the learning environment, the similar processes and the differences that occur as they 'Step-Up'. 

The program has been well received by our students and I invite families to share their experiences back with me in the yard.
