'Sock it to Poverty' fundraiser

News from the SRC

We are raising awareness and funds for the Catholic Mission for the Caring Center in Mongolia. The Caring Center provides a home for young children who have nowhere else to call home.

Students are asked to bring in some old odd socks, ragged shirts and materials that they no longer want (by THIS TUESDAY please). We will be making some homemade soccer balls so children can get a sense of what it may be like to make do with what you have.

On November 1st, we are holding a crazy sock day. Children will be asked to bring a gold coin donation and wear some bright, colourful, silly socks to celebrate the day. SRC reps will be helping to run some fun soccer activities during the day, as well as selling some Zooper Doopers for $1 each.
