Music and Performing Arts Faculty
From the Co-ordinator of Music and Performing Arts
Term 4 is always a busy term of performances and events for our Performing Arts students who have been working hard and showcasing their talents throughout NSW.
Inaburra Independent Dance Festival
On Thursday 31 October, the Intermediate Jazz and Lyrical Dance companies went to Inaburra School for a full day of workshops and performances. Halloween, you might say? Don’t worry, my mum packed me a bag of lollies! Our School had to audition to get into this workshop, so we felt really lucky to be there. We piled onto the bus from School at 9:30am and were on our way.
Inaburra School was one of the biggest schools I’ve ever seen, and their performance space was incredible! Once we arrived, we had some morning tea. I’m in the Jazz Company, so after morning tea, we practiced our dance while the Lyrical Company went to a workshop. Later, we joined them for a combined workshop where we got to practise the finale, which included all the schools and dance groups.
In the evening, we had a concert where we performed for each other and the parents. There were about twelve dances, and every single one was spectacular. I’m really grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing day, it was an experience I thoroughly enjoyed.

Performing Arts Ensemble Canvas Page
The Performing Arts Ensembles have a dedicated Canvas Page where communications regarding rehearsals and performances are posted. It is important that students/families have access to this page to keep up to date. Invitations have been sent multiple times to families.
