We would like to say a big thank you to parents for working together with us for the care and wellbeing of the students throughout this year. Your understanding and support with school requirements and policies help us ensure that student’s needs are met to the highest possible standard.
Collection of Medications
As the conclusion of the 2024 school year is rapidly approaching, we wish to advise parents that we DO NOT store student medications here at the College over the long school holiday period.
Could all medications please be collected from the First Aid Room before or on the final day of school? This is particularly relevant to Secondary School Students at this point in time as they complete their school year before the official end of Term.
Updating Care Plans
Medication Plans, Asthma Care Plans and other Health Care Plans need to be updated annually and whenever there is a change in the care needs of a student. If your child’s Health Care Plan is due to be updated, the school holidays are an ideal time to arrange this for the 2025 school year. Medication Plans and Asthma Care Plans can be downloaded from the College website or you can collect a blank form from the First Aid Officers. If you have any questions please contact one of the First Aid Officers.
Returning Borrowed Clothes
If your child has borrowed clothes from the First Aid Room recently can you please ensure that they have been returned?
Thank you.

On Friday 15 November our class of 2023 reunited!
From quizzes, to music, to connecting with new and old friends, to food in abundance, our old scholars and teachers had a whale of a time.

Our wonderful Emmaus community recently enjoyed a fun ELC-Year 2 Sports Day at the Western Youth Reserve oval. We were blessed with great weather and clear skies on the day. It was incredible to see our young Emmaus athletes dressed in their House colours, and the comradery amongst the students was palpable. The day began with an enthusiastic and upbeat health hustle led by Mrs Collins, Mr Bloomfield, and the Year 6 leaders across both campuses, which set the stage for the fun ahead.
Students rotated through various stations with individual and team activities. Each station was supported by a Year 6 leader and a Year 9 helper who encouraged safety and fun for all. It was amazing to see our young students work together in their house teams and demonstrate teamwork while having fun together. Students enjoyed jumping and landing safely on trampolines, going over hurdles, kicking footy and soccer balls, striking a ball with a cricket bat, and participating in several team activities.
One of the highlights of the day was the running races to finish off the day. Each class had girls and boys race over a certain distance for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons. Our young runners ran hard and demonstrated great sportsmanship, to the joy of the spectators cheering them on.
Sports Day finished off with a cheerful family picnic lunch on the oval. It was lovely to see new relationships form and heartwarming to watch our Emmaus community enjoy one another’s company in uplifting ways during the picnic. A big thank you to all the staff, volunteers and Emmaus community for making this day such an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Blessings to you all,
Andrew Bloomfield and Kirrilee Collins

Applications for the ACER Academic Scholarship for 2026 are open now, and applications close Friday, 17 January 2025, at 2pm.
The ACER Scholarships are administered through the Australian Co-operative Entry Scholarship Program (ACEP). This scholarship is open to new or continuing students commencing Year 7 in 2026 at Emmaus Christian College.
How to apply:
New students will be contacted to provide copies of recent school reports for reference when potential scholarships are being considered.
Although there are waiting pools for most of our Year levels in the forthcoming two years, there are enrolment spaces available in the Year 10, 2026 cohort (inc. Year 9, 2025).
We are thrilled to provide this an opportunity for more young people to achieve their SACE in a nurturing Christian community where they can flourish.
