PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

The Year 12 students of 2024 have successfully completed all aspects of their learning and examinations, which will undoubtedly be a relief for both students and their families. This evening, we will gather to celebrate their achievements at the Graduate Mass and Dinner, and I look forward to sharing these special events with them.

Today, the Year 11 students conclude their academic year with their final exam. Next Tuesday marks the beginning of Year 12 for them, starting with a week of orientation focused on their Unit 3 and 4 studies. Following this, Year 10 exams will take place, and there will be an orientation week for Year 11. Please note that Year 9 and 10 students will have their last day of school on Thursday, December 5th. It is vital for all students to maintain their attendance until this final day.

This week, our school has received the School Saving Bonus funding from the Allan Labor Government. This one-time payment of $400 will be provided to families for each student enrolled from Foundation to Year 12 in 2025 who qualifies for the means-tested Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF). Each eligible child will receive the $400 bonus, meaning a family with three school-aged children will receive a total of $1,200. The funds will be credited to family fee accounts in 2025.

Families are warmly invited to our annual Presentation Night on Monday, December 9th. This significant event, which celebrates the efforts and successes of our students, will be held in the Jubilee Centre, commencing at 7:00 PM. Our guest speakers this year include Kyal Tripodi, a 2004 alumnus, and Charlotte Angus, our 2023 alumnus and Dux. Additionally, representatives from the Catholic Diocese Fund (CDF) will present the Fr James Wall Bursary. This bursary will be awarded to four students across the Catholic Diocese in Victoria, and we are proud to announce that one of our students has been selected as the inaugural recipient in the Diocese of Ballarat. I look forward to seeing you at our Presentation Night.
