Students have been practising for many weeks in preparation for the evening of celebration, musical achievement and fun.

The Rock Band Concerts will be held on Monday 25 November across two concert sessions (Primary Rock Bands and Secondary Rock Bands). The Primary Concert is from 5pm to 6:30pm. This allows 30 minutes for Primary audience members to exit, Secondary audience members to enter and Secondary Rock Bands to get set up for their 7pm to 7:45pm Concert.

Year 2 Rock band was having a great time preparing during the week!

Carols on The Lawn - Primary Christmas Concert

The end of year is fast approaching, which means that our highly anticipated Primary Christmas Concert, Carols on the Lawn, is just around the corner! This year's concert is held in the evening of Monday December 9. As per previous years, the event will be located at the central Primary lawn area, and students / families are encouraged to start thinking about something fun, bright, neat and comfortable to wear to fit the Christmas theme.

Some Christmas costume ideas for K-5 students include:

·   A plain tee shirt in a Christmas colour; e.g. green, red, or white

·   A Christmas-themed tee shirt (e.g. may have a Christmas picture or Christmas slogan)

·   Neat, casual clothes in a variety of Christmas colours

·   Neat, casual clothes and adding a Christmas hat (e.g. Santa or elf hat, reindeer antlers etc)

·   Neat, casual clothes and Christmas decorations; e.g. tinsel tied around the waist or around wrists

·   A Christmas character (Santa / angel / reindeer / shepherd / snowman / elf etc)

Many more details to come next week via direct formal letter.

Trent Eacott: Extra-Curricular Drums Tutor, 2025

Hi I'm Trent Eacott,

I’m thrilled to be joining the music tutorial program at Moama Anglican Grammar in 2025 to support the incredible Drumline, Rock Band, and percussion programs. With over 27 years of drumming experience, I’m passionate about helping students grow as musicians and achieve their goals.

I completed my Grade 6 ANZCA Drum Set qualification in 2001 under the amazing Kevin Kiely and have taught students of all ages, focusing on developing their technical skills, confidence, and musicality. I’ve also had the privilege of performing extensively, including leading a 7-piece Jazz/Soul band for 10 years, supporting local artists at the Winter Blues Festival and in cover bands.

My teaching philosophy is all about building a strong foundation in rudiments, timing, and reading, while fostering creativity and learning how to play any genre of music that supports students building a lifelong passion for drumming.

I look forward to inspiring the next generation of drummers.
