Learning and Curriculum Primary - Stage 3

NAPLAN Analysis
This week, Stage 3 staff engaged in a NAPLAN analysis meeting to identify trends in College data, with a particular focus on identifying strengths and tracking progress across cohorts.
Our current Year 5 cohort, who come to us from many primary schools, have performed very well, with at least 80% of the cohort achieving in the top two bands in every test. Staff identified strategies and pedagogical approaches that will further support student growth and achievement.

Longitudinal analysis of Year 7 data over the past three years has provided compelling evidence that the school’s approach to Mathematics is yielding positive outcomes. Many students are consistently achieving results in the Strong and Exceeding proficiency bands, suggesting that early intervention, ability-based classes and sustained instructional practices are having a lasting impact in Mathematics.
