Library Buzz: A Term Full of Excitement and Creativity!
It’s been a jam-packed term in the library, with students diving into exciting events and creative experiences.
One of the highlights has been our collaboration with the Science team for Sustainability Week. Each day brought new, hands-on activities—from making recycled paper and planting sustainable seed pods to designing laser-cut bookmarks. The energy and enthusiasm from students were fantastic, and it was wonderful to see so many taking part in conversations about sustainability while being creative. Check out more information and pictures on our Sustainability Week activities in the Environment & Sustainability section of the newsletter.
Our Maker Space sessions have continued to be a weekly hit, with students letting their imaginations run wild. One favourite this term was our Crazy Card Making activity. Students crafted heartfelt, unique cards and gifts for the important people in their lives—some funny, some sweet, all completely original.
We also celebrated the exciting launch of our digital library platform – ePlatform. Students can now access thousands of eBooks and audiobooks anytime, anywhere. This is a huge step forward in making reading more accessible and engaging for everyone. Make sure to check out the feature in this newsletter for more information on how to get started.
Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for our biggest celebration of the year—Book Week in Week 6! The library will be bursting with fun daily activities, competitions, prizes and even movies based on books. We can’t wait to see you there!
Stay curious,
