11th August 2025 Ciara
This week's very worthy superhero is receiving the award for responsibility, care and respect, which she demonstrate consistently.
Ciara has a bright smile and an enthusiastic attitude that brightens and enhances our classroom environment. No matter the task or subject, she dives into her learning with positivity and a can-do attitude. She remains focused in her learning bubble, persisting through challenges, and working hard until she achieves success.
Ciara is always respectful towards others. She never misses the chance to lend a hand, help others or do jobs for her teacher. Whether it be tidying the classroom, picking up rubbish around the school, organising the bookshelf or making sure all the computers are plugged in, this super helper and planet protector has it all covered.
A caring classmate and a great friend, Ciara happily includes others in the schoolyard. She knows right from wrong, is fair and always tries to do the right thing. She also has a great sense of humour and enjoys a laugh, always at the appropriate time and in an appropriate way. It is hard not to be drawn to her friendly, happy and bubbly personality…and did I mention her smile?
We love hearing her stories and news about her cheeky puppy, trips to Japan and skiing adventures. We are super proud and lucky to have this sensational superhero in Studio 3. Keep being your helpful, hardworking and positive self!
Congratulations Ciara, we hope you've had a great week.
4th August 2025 Leo
This week’s Superhero Award is being awarded to a student who is an outstanding example of curiosity, care and excellence.
Leo asks thoughtful questions (which sometimes challenge the teacher), showing a deep desire to understand the world around him. He embraces challenges with enthusiasm and demonstrate a strong ability to explain his thinking clearly and confidently.
Across all areas of learning, Leo's broad knowledge and insightful contributions enrich classroom discussions; from prime numbers to theories of space is endless or if it will collapse on itself.
Leo is not only a thinker — he is also a kind and considerate classmate. In fact, he received his studio’s first Student of the Week Award of the year for Care. With his calm nature, patience, respectful manners, and inclusive spirit, he helps makes Studio 14 a welcoming space.
Leo's ability to listen, reflect, and work hard is something to be proud of, as are his quirky pieces of writing and evil genius ways.
Keep questioning, keep striving, and keep caring — you are a true role model.
Congratulations Leo, we hope you've had a great week.

Working Bee
Thank You to Our Amazing Working Bee Volunteers! 🌿
A huge thank you to all the wonderful parents, carers, students, and staff who rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in at our recent School Working Bee!
Thanks to your hard work, our school grounds are looking fantastic. From spreading mulch across garden beds to pulling out stubborn weeds, every bit of effort made a visible difference. It was a big job, but with so many helping hands, the transformation was both impressive and inspiring.
We deeply appreciate the time and energy you gave to help create a greener, cleaner, and more welcoming space for our students to learn and play. Your community spirit and dedication are what make our school such a special place.
School Saving Bonus
The SSB Parent Portal has now closed for parents/carers.
Remaining funds have been transferred to the school for most students to be used for school events.
These funds will appear in Compass to select when approving an event. If there are insufficient funds available to cover the full cost of event or you wish to use a siblings funds, please contact the office for this to be processed manually.
New School Uniform Supplier - Lowes
Our uniform distributor, A Plus Schoolwear, has sold the company to Lowes from the 1st July 2025. The manufacturing still remains with AGS Prints so you will not see any changes to the style or quality of our uniforms.
Existing back orders will continue to be fulfilled and delivered to schools by APLUS Schoolwear.
Uniforms will still be available for purchase online and will be delivered to your home rather than the school. There will be no delivery charge for the remainder of the year, however, there will be a $10 charge from 2026. Prices of uniforms remain unchanged for this year.
Purchases will be able to be made directly from Lowes at Lansell Plaza in Kangaroo Flat, Bendigo, who will hold a full range in all sizes.
Lowes offer special sale days throughout the year and a reward and zero card system.
Carpark Safety
We would like to address some important safety concerns regarding carpark use, and we kindly ask for your cooperation.
Kindergarten Carpark
We have been made aware that some families are using the kindergarten carpark who are not attending the kindergarten. This carpark is reserved exclusively for kindergarten families. If you have both kindergarten and school-aged children and need to park there, please ensure you use the ramp to access the school grounds.
The increased traffic in this area is making it difficult for kindergarten families to find parking and is also creating a safety risk due to the higher volume of foot traffic. Please also note that the gate between the kindergarten and school is now locked — children should not be lifted over the gate under any circumstances.
School Carpark
The school carpark has vehicles moving in and out throughout the day. For safety reasons, we ask that pedestrians do not use the stairs near the flag poles and then walk through the carpark as a shortcut. The designated ramp or steps are to be used when entering or exiting the school.
Thank you for your support in helping keep all members of our school and kindergarten community safe.
