Farm

Grains
Seeding is finally at an end! The DBS is clean and ready to put in the shed for another year, and the sprayer and spreader are eagerly awaiting their time on the job! Thank you to Mr de Beer, Mr O'Driscoll and all the staff and students who helped get the seed in the ground for another season. Those students that have paperwork associated with seeding, please get this to Mr de Beer as soon as possible (especially those undertaking Certificate III in Agriculture).
Sheep
We are pleased to report a successful wool clip, with shearing completed and some excellent results achieved.
Our stud ewes and prime lamb ewes have now finished lambing, with only the Merino ewes left to complete the season. It has been wonderful to see healthy lambs arriving and thriving across the farm.
A special thank you to all the staff and students who are assisting during lambing. Their help observing ewes, monitoring paddocks, and supporting daily farm activities is greatly appreciated!
Uniform
It is pretty cold out on farm at the moment, but students are reminded that uniform standards still apply. If you are wearing extra layers under your hi vis jumper, ensure it does NOT have a hood or strings/cords attached as these are an entanglement hazard.
We have also been noticing a lot more uniforms that are becoming tattered, full of holes or covered in graffiti. Please have a word with your parents about purchasing replacement/clean/undamaged items of uniform. Also remember that COLLEGE hats or beanies are still required.
Country Week
For those students not attending Country Week, please make the most of your farm time and complete as much work as you can towards achieving competencies. It's an opportune time while there are fewer students on farm and trainers are able to dedicate more time to individuals.
