Good afternoon families,
This week starts Holy Week and the last week of Lent. All families are invited to attend all the Holy week ceremonies that will be held in the parish this week. Please go to Mary of the Cross Parish website for more information.
The principal conference last week was very successful. The theme of the conference was 'with Strength'. The conference was enriching, educating and nourishing for Michelle tanya and myself. The conference was underpinned by our Australian faith story and reminded us that 'we are custodians or keepers of these stories because we work in catholic schools' (Askew 2021). Among the speakers we were privileged enough to hear speak were Craig Foster, Saroo Brierley and Jelena Dockic. Their stories of strength inspired us to be quality leaders in our school.
Congratulations to our Year 6 students who participated well in the Chelsea District premiership and the right to go on to the Kingston Division finals in term 4. We sent nine teams in total. Our two boy's cricket teams both made the grand final. Well done.
This week is the final week of Term 1 and it is a very busy week.
