Key reminders

Calculators:

All students are required to bring a calculator to class. It is an essential tool for solving problems efficiently and accurately at all year levels. Whilst calculators are permitted for certain tasks there are times when students need to solve problems without them. Practice using calculator and non calculator methods ensure proficiency in all types of maths problems.

Years 7-10 Scoresby Secondary College are required to use the Ti Scientific calculator whilst students at Years 11-12  are required to use the Casio Classpad.

Mathletics:

Students in Year 7-9 have weekly homework using Matheletics.   Mathletics is proven to transform the way students learn maths and is the world’s leading online maths program to build confidence through personalised learning, exciting games and mastery challenges. Get started in minutes, at home or use in the classroom in addition to other learning.

Year 12 – Reflection

"All the Year 12 students have been working really hard in Mathematics. In General Maths we have been learning about Data analysis. In this topic, we have learned about univariate data, bivariate data, transformations and smoothing. We have just completed our first SAC of the year. It was challenging however I believe we have done well.  I hope all the students achieve their desired results"
