Final Weeks of Term 1

I cannot believe that we are in the final week of Term One already! It has been a fantastic term of getting to know the college, students, parents/ caregivers and staff.

I had the pleasure of accompanying the Year 11 and 12 Vocational Major students to the Australian F1 Grand Prix last week.

I saw a great range of communication, collaboration and problem solving skills within the group. Their behaviour was also impeccable. It was delightful to see the enjoyment that each student had on the day, even though the reasons were all different. There were cars, food vans, musicians/ DJs, and of course the wildlife on Albert Park Lake.

Next term I will be focusing on creating IEP's (Individual Education Plans) for students with diagnosed learning difficulties. This process involves the school, student and parent/s coming together to set goals based on allied health recommendations to support student learning in the classroom.

I hope that you all enjoy the Easter period, and have a happy and safe Term break.
