Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope all members of the St Aidan's Community had a restful and blessed Easter long weekend with family and friends. We are now coming to the close of a very busy term that has been filled with learning, creativity, prayer and giving so generously. 

I am continually overwhelmed by the generosity of the St Aidan's Community. During this term we have had numerous fundraisers for Project Compassion. The students and families of St Aidan's have clearly lived out the Brigidine Charism of Charity and Compassion through their eagerness to donate and help those in need.  

This term we have had a huge focus on the Brigidine Charism of 'FORGIVENESS'. Our weekly Charism Award has been given to students who have made a conscience effort to demonstrate forgiveness in their everyday life. During the season of Easter we are reminded of Jesus' ultimate sacrafice and the forgiveness he demonstrated till the very end.

EASTER LITURGY

Last Thursday we reflected on Holy Week and Easter during a prayerful liturgy in the Holy Family Church. The students were reverent and enjoyed reenacting this special time for their families. It was so moving watching all of the students especially when they were all present together for the final song. The students sang beautifully and we could tell they thoroughly enjoyed performing for us. Thank you to Mrs Smithson and all of the staff for preparing the students for this liturgy. Thank you also to all of the parents and carers who came along.

SWIMMING CARNIVAL

St Aidan's Swimming Carnival was a fun filled day for all involved. The students demonstrated excellent sportsmanship while cheering on their peers and competing in events. Thank you to Miss Preece, Miss Hinds and all staff involved in organising this day. Congratulation to the winning team BRIGID and to KING for receiving the Spirit Cup.

I would like to wish all the St Aidan's students and families a wonderful holiday break.
