NAPLAN

REMINDER: All students need working headphones on Monday for the tests

This week we completed two on the NAPLAN assessments; Writing and Reading.

NAPLAN tests are one aspect of each school’s assessment and reporting process and do not replace the extensive, ongoing assessments made by teachers about each student’s performance. Each teacher will have the best insight into their students’ educational progress. Parents/carers should review NAPLAN reports alongside other school assessment reports, to discuss their child’s strengths and areas for improvement with their teacher. 

At St Michael's we encourage our students to try their best on all assessments. Students have been reassured that the NAPLAN is only one form of assessment and is for the benefit of knowing where they are at, and what to teach them next.

If students are absent during the NAPLAN testing, they will complete the tests on other days during the testing period.
