Harmony Day 2024 - Everyone Belongs

On Thursday 21st March, 2024, Woodland Road Public School celebrated and acknowledged Harmony Day. Harmony Day recognises and celebrates our wonderful country's diverse range of cultures. Students at Woodland Road Public School wore orange or traditional cultural dress and engaged in a variety of class activities. At the end of the day, students were selected from each class to participate in a ‘Traditional Dress Parade’. We are so fortunate to have a school with a number of students and teachers from all over the world!

Autism Awareness Day

Autism Awareness Day is a special day held on April 2nd that globally recognises autism and what it means for those living with it. Autism is a neurological disorder that can effect the way someone hears, sees, speaks, feels and senses things around them. Feel free to access any of the following sites to find out more about autism and how everyone is unique in their own, special ways:

Easter Hat Parade

The Easter Hat Parade was great fun this year. The students had so much fun, clearly putting a lot of time and effort into making their Easter hats, all while admiring the hats of their peers (and even some teachers!). Well done to all, and congratulations to our winners of the chocolate prizes.
