Year 5

Year 5 students recently welcomed Constable Jane for an important and engaging session on cyber safety, respectful behaviour, and making good choices both at school and online. Students learned about different forms of bullying, what to do if they feel unsafe, and how to seek help for themselves or others.

Constable Jane also explained the new rules and changes relating to app use for children under 16, highlighting why age limits exist and how they help keep young people safe. A strong focus was placed on the risks of online gaming, including chatting with strangers, sharing personal information, and unsafe in-game behavior.

Students asked thoughtful questions and participated actively in discussions about how to stay safe, respectful and responsible online and at school. We thank Constable Jane for her time and valuable advice in helping our students build safe digital habits.
