A Fond Farewell from the Canteen & Uniform Shop

As Term 4 draws to a close, marking not only the end of the school year but also my tenure as Canteen Convenor (one year) and Uniform Shop Convenor (the past few years), I wanted to share a deep and heartfelt reflection on my time serving the CPS community.

It has been an absolute joy and a privilege to be part of the vibrant engine that supports our students. My greatest pleasure has been the opportunity to work alongside our incredible volunteers and the truly amazing school staff, including Principal Cameron Jones. The dedication and spirit of service within this school are infectious.

With all three of my children now graduated from CPS, my attachment to the school runs deep. To be able to contribute back, long after my youngest walked out of the gates, fills me with immense pride and gratitude. Each of my children enjoyed six beautiful and memorable years here, and it is a testament to the school community, the responsive and helpful staff, the capable leadership from our principals, and the warm, familiar faces of parents who readily step up for any event. A strong school community, indeed, is built on collaboration and a willingness to give.

I must offer a special, huge thank you to the dedicated members of the Canteen Committee: Yenny Ho, Yong Sim (Treasurer), Hedy Shen (Secretary), and Aimee Pflederer. This team has been my bedrock. They have supported me on every operational matter, big or small, from Canteen Fun Day promotions and complex financial audits to new menu ideas and supplier pricing queries. You are a truly amazing cohort, and I am grateful for your partnership.

Finally, my deepest admiration goes to our outstanding canteen staff: Vivian, Selina, Andrea, the two Cecilias, and Xia. They are the experienced and dedicated heart of the canteen, consistently making it a quietly running yet high-performing cog in the machine of our children's school life. Their hard work ensures our students have healthy, delicious options every single day.

Thank you, CPS, for the memories, the community, and the opportunity to serve. I wish everyone a wonderful holiday and all the best for the future!
