As we come to the end of another school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been a year of growth, effort and achievement across our school.
I am incredibly proud of the progress made by all our students this year. Every child has grown academically, socially and personally, and that growth is the result of consistent effort, high expectations and a strong partnership between school and home. Our teachers have worked tirelessly to support students, challenge them in their learning and ensure they feel known, valued and included.
That commitment has not stopped as the year draws to a close. This week, our 2026 teaching teams have already begun meeting and planning for Term 1. Their focus is on setting clear learning priorities, aligning programs and ensuring we start the new year strongly. I am confident that 2026 will begin with clarity, purpose and momentum.
You may have seen our school featured on the ABC this past week, following ACARA’s recognition of our school as Making a Difference. We are proud of this acknowledgement. It reflects the dedication of our teachers, the hard work of our students and the ongoing support of our families. High expectations, explicit teaching and a strong sense of community continue to underpin our work and are helping every child grow in literacy and numeracy.
Thank you to our families for the partnership you bring to our school. Your trust, communication and support play an important role in helping us create a place where students can thrive.
A special thank you to our office staff and P&C for their work in organising last Friday’s Carols. It was a wonderful community event and a lovely way to end the year together.
To our Year 6 students, we wish you every success as you move on to high school. You leave us with many fond memories, and we are proud of the young people you have become. We know you will continue to represent yourselves and your school with confidence and integrity.
I would also like to farewell staff who will be leaving our school at the end of the year. Thank you for your contribution to our students and our community, and we wish you all the very best for the next chapter.
Finally, I wish all our families a safe, happy and relaxing holiday break. I hope you enjoy spending time connecting with family and friends and have the opportunity to rest and recharge. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year.
