Junior Room Inquiry
We are learning about making the right decision in our lives. This week we have been looking at the importance of making the right and wrong decisions and what consequences our decision-making might have. Students followed the adventure of Melfyn and identify which choices would be appropriate for her to make along the way. We have learnt how to make the right choice in the Junior room!
Senior Room Religion
We are learning to identify how people describe us through words, phrases or symbols. Students brainstormed a list of words and phrases to describe ourselves and others in our room. These were then collated and displayed on a poster as a reminder of all the wonderful traits we bring as individuals. Positive affirmations, words and deeds are the way forward in our classroom for 2026!
Our classroom is better because WE are in it!! <3
2026 Australia Day Awards
Out of 315 entries submitted across the shire in the Australia Day competition, three of our students received Highly Commended awards for their photography entries. We celebrated their success at last night’s community event and were incredibly proud to share their achievements. Congratulations to our students on this wonderful recognition.
2026 Gym & Swimming Program
Taking a new direction in 2026, students enjoyed the new surroundings of Gurri Wellbeing Centre in Kangaroo Flat. After splitting into their groups, students learned about safe entry and exit practices when entering the water, while others completed pool laps focusing on technique. Staff were impressed with the students’ confidence, teamwork and willingness to challenge themselves in a new environment. Following their swim session, students attended Jets Gymnastics where they loved rolling, tumbling, bouncing and climbing. A fantastic way to finish the week while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, and building positive habits that support students' physical activity.
Safer Internet Day is Tuesday, 10 February 2026. We’ll be kicking off our year with conversations about how young people can stay safe online.
We’re proud to be joining ESafety Office, schools, early learning centres, workplaces and communities across Australia to have conversations about online safety 💻✨
