More information will be shared on the newsletter and on Social media about ways to engage in Lent this season.
Jesus sees a large crowd and goes up a hillside to teach. He speaks about who is truly blessed in God’s eyes. He says blessings belong to people who are humble, kind, gentle, merciful, and who want to do what is right. He blesses those who work for peace, those who are sad or struggling, and even those who are treated badly because they choose to follow God. Jesus promises that God is close to them and that their faith will be rewarded.
Summary
In this passage, Jesus turns the world’s ideas upside down. He teaches that real happiness does not come from power, wealth, or success. Instead, it comes from trusting God, caring for others, choosing peace, and doing what is right—even when it is hard. God sees and values people who may feel overlooked or weak.
