Message from the Principal

Dear Community,
We have had another wonderful week here at St Mary's, finishing the week with our opening school Mass this morning. Our Grades 5 and 6 students received a blessing as the leaders of the school and received a special badge to wear each day. Our Grade 6 students also received a candle as a special reminder of the beginning of their final year of primary school. Staff also received a blessing from Fr. Aurelio where he prayed for guidance and wisdom as we work together through the 2026 school year. It was great to have some parents come along to celebrate Mass with us.
Lost Property and Uniform Donations
A friendly reminder to collect any lost property from the office before the end of Week 3 (Friday 6th March). Any items that are not collect will be donated to the uniform shop.
Forms to be returned
You will receive a couple of forms this week that require your attention. These include:
- ICT Agreement form - to be signed and returned to acknowledge safe and acceptable use of digital devices at school
- Permission for Photos/media - to be signed and returned as soon as possible.
- Meet the Teacher form - to prepare and help guide your information sharing about your child at the upcoming Meet the Teacher .
Your child will have these forms in their bags, ready to be discussed and signed. The ICT agreement form will require a conversation with your child as it is quite detailed in terms of what is appropriate and what is not. Thank you in advance for taking the time to discuss smart and safe ICT use with your child. Once the forms are returned, we will begin to use devices and share more photos and videos from a range of school experiences!
Meet the Teacher Meetings - Bookings now open!
In PAM you will be able to book in a time for Tuesday 10th February between 4pm and 7:30pm. Please note that Julie and Blythe will both be present for the Grade 5/6 interviews. If you have trouble booking this via PAM, please reach out to the office for assistance.
Upcoming Dates for Term 1
Have a blessed weekend and we will see you all on Monday to begin Week 3!
Kind regards,
Shannon Betham
Acting Principal
