Uniform and attendance

The St Augustine’s College uniform is a symbol of pride, unity and respect, reflecting the positive image of our College within the community. Wearing the uniform correctly fosters a strong sense of belonging and demonstrates support for our College values. At St Augustine’s, we cherish the meaningful relationships between staff and students as the foundation of our vibrant learning environment.

To maintain this positive dynamic, we kindly ask all families to ensure their child meets the uniform requirements each day, including providing both an Academic and Sports uniform for each child. This support helps minimise disruptions and ensures a smooth start to lessons, allowing everyone to focus on learning and connection. For detailed information about the uniform, please refer to the St Augustine’s College Uniform Guide. If you require assistance with your child’s uniform, please contact a member of our Wellbeing team.

We also ask for your continued support in ensuring that students arrive at school on time and attend regularly. Punctuality and consistent attendance play an important role in supporting learning, helping students feel settled, connected and ready to engage with their lessons from the start of the day. When students are absent or arrive late, they can miss important learning, routines and opportunities to connect with their peers. Thank you for working with us to support positive learning habits for your child.

Communicating with Staff

At St Augustine’s College, we deeply value opportunities to strengthen our partnerships with parents and families, working together in support of our students. We recognise that parents/caregivers are the first educators of their children and play a vital role in shaping their behaviours, both positive and challenging. Open and honest communication is key to fostering a supportive school environment and we are grateful for a parent community that shares our commitment to nurturing each child’s growth and development.

We ask that parents/caregivers engage in conversations with our staff with respect, trust in our processes and support the follow-up actions necessary for their child’s development and wellbeing. Similar expectations exist in many other organisations and by working together with mutual respect and understanding, we can continue to provide a safe, positive and thriving learning environment for all.

Our staff are on site and available during the following times:

Monday:  8:30am - 3:45pm

Tuesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Wednesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Thursday: 8:30am - 3:45pm

Friday: 8:15am - 3:45pm

However, whilst these are the working times, our staff are busy organising and planning lessons, teaching classes and/or engaged in relevant staff meetings. We ask that if you wish to make contact with your child’s teacher, please contact your child’s TA for a meeting.

Communication via email is also appropriate during work hours, however please allow staff up to 48 hours to respond.

We thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Kyabram Bowls Club Car Park Reminder

We appreciate the Kyabram Bowls Club allowing families to use their carpark before and after school on non-bowling days.   A reminder that parking is not available when the Bowlers Parking Only Today sign is displayed.

Young children walking and running through the area creates a safety risk when bowls club members are driving through and backing out of the car park.

We ask all families to please adhere to the sign when it is displayed and find alternative parking options on these days.  Thank you for your assistance.
