Welcome Back!
It has been lovely to welcome students back to school and see our community come alive again over these past few days. Despite the hot summer conditions, students have settled in well and are reconnecting with routines, teachers and friends. Thank you to families for your support in helping students arrive on time each day ready for learning.
Wellbeing Team Update
We are excited to introduce and highlight members of our Wellbeing Team who work closely with students and families. Meredith, Stuart, and Lori each bring experience, knowledge and a strong passion for supporting the wellbeing needs of our students.
Stuart Taylor – Community Wellbeing Leader (Years 5–8)
Meredith Lia – Community Wellbeing Leader (Years 9–12)
Lori Parmley – Wellbeing Support Officer
Wellbeing Resources – SchoolTV

We are pleased to share that the College has purchased a subscription to SchoolTV as an additional resource to support parents and carers.
SchoolTV is an incredibly helpful, evidence-based platform that provides:
Practical strategies for supporting children and adolescents
Short, easy-to-access videos and articles
Guidance on a wide range of wellbeing and mental health topics
SchoolTV is a valuable tool for families, offering timely, reliable information to help navigate the challenges that young people and their families may face. This resource can be accessed via the College website: Home Page SchoolTV | St Augustine's College - Kyabram
Breakfast Club
We are excited that Breakfast Club has returned for 2026. This initiative is possible through the generous support of:
Bakers Delight Kyabram
St Vincent de Paul Kyabram
We are very grateful for our ongoing partnership with these organisations which helps us ensure students can start their day with a healthy breakfast.
Individual Health Care Plans & Safety Plans
To ensure we can best support students at school, could families please inform their child’s TA teacher if their child requires an Individual Health Care Plan or Safety Plan.
We require plans for students who:
Have severe asthma, type 1 diabetes, epilepsy, or allergies that may progress to anaphylaxis
Have a medical condition that may require an emergency response
Require health care procedures to be administered at school
If you are unsure whether your child requires a plan, please contact the College Office or your child’s TA teacher for guidance.
Uniform Expectations
The Uniform Guide is available via the College website.
Key reminders:
Students are expected to wear full academic uniform each day unless they have timetabled PE or Sport
Academic and PE uniforms are not to be mixed
Hats are required outdoors from Term 3 (Week 7) to ANZAC Day
If your child is out of uniform on any day, please provide a note (or email) to their TA explaining the reason and indicating the date your child will return in full uniform. Thank you for your continued support in upholding our uniform expectations.
Personal Digital Devices
The Catholic Education Sandhurst Personal Digital Device (PDD) policy remains unchanged.
This policy outlines that students keep their mobile phones and other digital devices switched off and away all day. Students must not access their devices during the school day or school activity (except in an emergency or when necessary to manage a medical condition).
If you need to contact your child, please do so via the College Office, as students should not be using their devices whilst they are at school.
If a student is found using a device at school without school permission, it will be confiscated and stored at the College Office and the following steps will be taken.

1st time: Student may collect their PDD from the office at the end of the day.
2nd time: Student may collect their PDD from the office at the end of the day. Their PDD must be handed in to the office at the beginning of each day for five days (they may collect it at the end of each day).
3rd time (in a semester): Parent must collect device from school. Student's PDD must be handed in to the office at the beginning of each day for 20 days (they may collect it at the end of each day).
Thank you for your ongoing partnership as we begin another positive year at St Augustine’s College. Please do not hesitate to contact the College if you have any other questions, or if we can provide support in any way.
Warm regards,
Alison Dietrich
