Gratitude:

involves recognising and expressing appreciation for the people, places and things in our lives. Practising gratitude allows us to pay attention to what we have, increasing feelings of happiness and leading to a more positive outlook on life.

Attendance – Attend today, Achieve Tomorrow

In Learning Conversations, your child's teacher speaks to you about how attendance is linked to progress in learning.

  • 100% attendance = Best chance for progress in learning with this attendance.
  • 96.99% attendance = Less chance for progress in learning with this attendance.
  • 92.99% = Harder to make progress in learning with this attendance.
  • 90% and below = It is extremely difficult to make progress in learning with this attendance

Please consider the following which will help your child progress in their learning:

  • Holidays outside of school holiday times
  • Make appointments after 12.40 or after school has finished
  • Rest helps children prepare for learning

Digital Safety

At St Joseph’s, we are very grateful for the support of the Elmore, Lockington and Rochester Community Bank in enabling us to participate in Inform & Empower — a Digital Safety and Wellbeing program.

Each term, classes engage in an online or recorded session, which includes a tuning-in component and a follow-up activity to deepen understanding.

The flyers below provide parent information to support you in continuing these important conversations with your child/children at home.
