Last Friday our whole school came together to celebrate Lunar New Year with a spectacular Lion Dance performance at assembly. The colour, movement and rhythm brought so much energy and excitement to our school, you could feel the buzz from Kinder to Year 6!
A very special thank you to the talented performers who shared this important cultural tradition with us. We were especially proud of our very own Evander (Year 1), who impressed everyone with his confident drumming. We loved seeing one of our youngest students playing such an important role in the performance!
Opportunities like this help our students deepen their understanding of different cultures and traditions, while experiencing the joy of celebration together as a community.

A huge congratulations to Tyler (Year 1), who demonstrated outstanding compassion and responsibility during lunchtime last Friday!
In just one lunch time, Tyler earned an incredible 7 Compassion Chicks (that’s 70 eggs!) How? By noticing rubbish around our school grounds and taking the initiative to pick it up without being asked. His effort showed not only compassion for our environment, but also pride in our school and respect for our community.
Small actions can make a very big difference, and Tyler’s commitment to keeping our grounds clean is a wonderful example of living our school values in action. We are so proud of the leadership he showed, especially at such a young age.

What weather we’ve been having this week. The rain certainly made for a memorable dismissal. I couldn’t help but notice that some of our students appeared to have shrunk throughout the day, judging by how enormous their umbrellas looked as they made their way out the gates!
Thank you to families for ensuring students were prepared with raincoats and umbrellas. Wet weather certainly keeps us on our toes, but it’s lovely to see the courage (and good humour) of our students shining through; rain, hail or shine.
