A Celebration of Community and Individuality

What a wonderful experience my first Autumn Fair has been! It was truly a celebration of community, creativity, and shared purpose. The atmosphere throughout the day reflected the heart of our school… people coming together with warmth, generosity, and a willingness to contribute.

The incredible effort of our coordinators and volunteers did not go unnoticed. So much care and dedication went into every detail, and it was deeply inspiring to witness our community in action. Events like this offer such a powerful example for our children... showing them that something truly extraordinary can be created through cooperation, goodwill, and shared effort.

We warmly welcome back Linnea, our newsletter editor, who has been away to celebrate the arrival of her beautiful little daughter, Mathilde. Congratulations, Linnea! Warm thanks also to Daisy for so capably stepping into the role during Linnea’s absence.

We are also delighted to celebrate the achievements of some of our students. Congratulations to Holly Rowan on her selection for the Interschool Sports team, and to Anouk Stefanoff-Schild for her selection as captain of the U12 Central Region Girls Netball team.

Below are some words shared by Anouk’s coach:

Anouk, huge congratulations on being named Captain of the Central girls team!
…... Your leadership, dedication, and positive influence have already made a big impact on the team. The girls are lucky to have such strong, inspiring captains guiding them this week. We know you’ll lead with heart, set a great example, and help bring out the best in everyone!

These achievements reflect not only skill and determination but also the development of leadership, resilience, and character… qualities we encourage in our students and deeply value.

Our middle school students continue to embrace the richness of experiential learning through their camps. Class 7 has just returned from a 10-day journey to Darwin and Kakadu, and we look forward to hearing their stories as they settle back into school life. Meanwhile, Class 6 prepares to depart for Uluru next week.

Camps such as these hold an important place in Steiner education. They offer students the opportunity to step beyond the classroom…to build independence, deepen connections with one another, and develop a relationship with the land that fosters both responsibility and reverence.
