End of Semester Attendance
As Semester One comes to its conclusion, I will be sharing with parents their child's attendance history if it is 'at risk' or 'high risk' or at a 'critical risk' level of attendance for your consideration.
Regular attendance at school is essential if students are to maximise their potential. As a school we are in partnership with our parents to ensure the regular attendance of our students.
Parents are responsible for ensuring their children attend school regularly and to explain to the school the absences of their children promptly and within seven days.
If there are issues with your child's attendance, our school will work in cooperation with you, to improve your child's attendance.
If your child is perpetually late to school or leaves early, this also calculates towards non-attendance at school.
When students are late to class or have high absenteeism it is very difficult for the child to 'catch up' the work they have missed and to complete the flow of their classwork.
On the other hand - please do not send your child sick to school because they cannot learn when they are sick and we do not want sickness to spread throughout the class.
Home is where sick children need to be and if they stay home when they are unwell, their recovery will be far quicker.
Athletics Carnival
We are very much looking forward to a great Athletics Carnival on Friday. Special thanks to Mr Flower for his work as our school Sports Coordinator. Mr Flower has planned a wonderful day for all our students.
We welcome our families to join and cheer on the children.
Carnival will commence with a March Past at 9.15am and a warm up at 9.20am.
At 9.30am we will commence our 50m sprint races.
Today our children practised their chants to cheer on their teams and the children are in fine voice.
