Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Carers,   

This week we celebrate Catholic Schools Week. It is an opportunity to celebrate and give thanks for Catholic education with this year's theme being ‘Our Hope-Filled Future’. We look forward to celebrating the Deanery Mass in Moree on Thursday with other schools from our diocese, a time to pray and give thanks for our students, who embody 'Our Hope-Filled Future,' and the staff guiding them on their journey of faith and learning.

Sacred Heart at the Gunnedah Eisteddfod! 🎶

The wait was finally over last week as our talented students took to the stage for the 2026 Gunnedah Eisteddfod! After weeks of preparation, our students all performed confidently and made us so proud! From the nervous energy backstage to the massive smiles under the spotlight, our students ebjoyed the experience of being up on the stage and some even saying 'I can't wait until next year!'

Opportunities like this do not just happen overnight and I want to extend a huge thank you to our incredible staff for their efforts. Who knew Miss Ferguson had such great dance moves or that Mrs Franklin could teach our guitarists to play a whole song in such a short time? Hours of practice, your patience and encouragement gave the students the confidence to step out on that stage and shine.

I am very proud of each and every student for their effort and participation. 

You are all winners in our eyes!
