Welcome Back!

Term 4 is officially underway, our Year 9 students have had a fantastic start to the term.

Term 4 is a busy term with lots happening; excursions, work experience and training courses. Our students will transition into Year 10 starting week 9 of this term.

Student Leaders

Our Year 9 leaders Ava, Tas, Ash and Melissa were asked to speak at the Year 8 assembly about how Year 9 works, the expectations and some advice on making the transition a little smoother.

They spoke wonderfully and offered great advice to the students.

Humanities Melbourne Excursion

On Friday 18th October, Year 9 and 10 students who demonstrated an interest and high achievement levels in Humanities were able to further their learning by visiting the following sites in Melbourne: Parliament House of Victoria, The Shrine Remembrance and the Old Treasury Building.

We look forward to hearing about their adventures when they return

Art

Across the Year 9 Arts subjects, there is a lot happening. VisCom students have a busy term of designing a Beach Shack, with plans to build a small scale model later in the term. 2D Art have been finishing off doing Rob Draper style collages and have started 2 projects at once, as students decided to utilise being spread across two classrooms and made the decision to do Printmaking in one classroom and Drawing in the other. 3D Art are just starting to learning Ceramics and the joys of the pottery wheels (stick around to see works in development).
