School Saver Bonus

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES

In Term 4, 2024, families will receive a one-off $400 School Saving Bonus for each child enrolled in a government school from Prep to Year 12 in 2025. The payment provides families with support for education-related costs, such as school activities, school uniforms or textbooks.

Actions for parents and carers

Before 18th October 2024, the Department of Education is asking parents and carers to:

Complete enrolment: If your child, or children are changing government school before Term 1 2025, or starting Prep or Year 7 in 2025, you should complete the enrolment process now.

Check your contact information: Check and update your email address and phone number in Compass. Details on how to update your contact information in Compass can be found on our webpage (see link below under contact information).

Your contact information must be up to date, as the Department of Education will email you twice:

• In October, to verify your email address.
• In November, with information about your $400 School Saving Bonus and access to the online system.

To access the School Saving Bonus, the College must have your correct email and phone numbers. The Department of Education will be contacting families directly via email with how to access the online system.

Thunderstorm Asthma

Grass pollen season (October through to the end of December) brings the chance of thunderstorm asthma. It can affect those with asthma or hay fever – especially those who experience wheezing or coughing with their hay fever making it difficult to breathe.

This can become very severe, very quickly.

Therefore, it is very important we have current Asthma Action Plans for students and that their asthma is well managed.

• Online orders are available from 3.30 pm the day before through to 9.00 am on the day of requirement
• Timeslots are now updated in line with our new timetable. You can select times from Breakfast, Break 1 or Break 2
• When completing the Checkout, please enter the student's Year Level in the 'Add a note for the seller' box under the Order total.
• If you are ordering for your child please also include their name in the 'Add a note for the seller' box

Compass

Log into your Compass Account/APP for news, report Absences, Reports, Excursion Permissions and pay contributions. Contact Administration if you need setting up or a reset password.
