A Fitting Farewell for James

For the past six seasons, James Sherman (SVC 2002-05) has been the senior coach of the Glenorchy Knights soccer team. His team won this year’s Lakoseljac Cup – the statewide knockout cup, and as a consequence qualified to represent Tasmania in the Australia Cup (the national premier knockout competition).

In Round 21 of the National Premier League (NPL) the Knights held the Devonport Strikers to a nil-all draw to claim the 2024 premiership. It ensured James a fairytale finish to his time at Knights, as he ended his time in charge of the team with a 2024 League/Cup double. James announced his resignation from the club recently - he intends to seek a coaching position on the mainland or perhaps overseas.

Congratulations on your success James. We wait with interest to see what unfolds for you in the future.
