Co-curricular - Junior Sport Stage 3

A very warm welcome back to all for the final term of the year. I hope that the term break was a restful, relaxing, and fun-filled time. No doubt this term will be another opportunity to learn, grow and make some lasting memories. Looking at the College calendar, it is going to be a short, busy one.

The weather has not been kind since the beginning of this week, leading to training cancelations and speculation about Saturday games. A reminder that unless there has been confirmation from the College via the SPC App, all training and games are presumed to be on and boys are expected at their venues, ready to train or play.

The training schedule and draft draw are available on the SPC App and I would encourage everyone involved in Summer sport to familiarise themselves with these two documents. Keep in mind that the draw is subject to weekly changes and the most correct information on times and venues can be found in the weekly draw. This is usually published on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning. Boys will also have the draw placed in their classrooms each week.

For those that are involved in the Summer Sport Skills Program this term, we have had a good number of boys return from Term 1 and a few new inclusions. This has meant that we will keep two groups running on Saturday mornings. Year 5 will have their session commence at 7:30 AM and Year 6 at 9:00 AM (as per Term 1). Boys are to meet Mr Jeffery in the Powell Pavilion for role marking and then move to Scientia courts for activity.

I have had a few questions regarding the purchase of Co-curricular sport photos. Photos are still in the proofing stage. Once completed, photos will be made available for purchase. Information on how to acquire the photos will be published in later Especean articles.

I look forward to seeing all our Summer teams back out on the fields, courts and diamonds this weekend. Hopefully, the clouds part and we get a full round of sport to start the term.
