Congratulations

Hugh Trainor is to be congratulated for his achievements in water polo, being selected to represent New South Wales as the goalkeeper for the Men's U15 Water Polo Team. This opportunity led him and his teammates to the Gold Coast, where they competed in the National State Championships against teams from every state and ACT.

Hugh and his teammates were victorious, returning home as National State Champions. Remarkably, they completed the tournament undefeated, a testament to their hard work and resilience.

Well done, Hugh!

First V Basketball Holiday Tournament

The First V Basketball Team recently competed in the NBA Schools Shootout, marking an exciting chapter in their season. The tournament provided not only a platform for skill development but also a fantastic opportunity for the boys to bond and strengthen their close-knit relationships, which will be crucial as the season progresses. Over the course of five games, the team faced tough competition from U18 representative academies and state programs, resulting in some hard-fought losses. These challenges were very valuable, highlighting the level of play needed for the upcoming season. Despite the setbacks, many players demonstrated significant improvement in their skills, showcasing their dedication and growth as athletes. Overall, the experience was both enriching and motivating for the team as they look ahead to the rest of the season.

Best of luck as they compete in the ISA Warm Up Tournament this Saturday.
