Scholastic Book Fair Returns!

Hello families,

I am delighted to inform you that the Scholastic Book Fair is returning to Ballan Primary School in early Term 4.

Dates and Times

Location - School Library in the Grade 1/2 BER building across 4 days in the first two weeks of Term 4

Thursday 10th October – 8.30-9am and 3-3.45pm

Friday 11th October – 8.30-9am and 3-3.30pm

Monday 14th October – 8.30-9am and 3-3.45pm

Tuesday 15th October - 8.30-9am and 3-3.30pm

Scholastic will be providing books, wacky packs, posters, and stationery for purchase by parents/carers and students in the school library based in the Grade 1/2 BER building. All students will have the opportunity to visit the Scholastic Book Fair early in the first week back of Term 4 prior to the opening morning. During their visit, students will have time to select one or more books that they may wish to purchase by completing a student wishlist or simply by browsing the fair.

Parents/carers will also be able to visit the book fair and purchase books during the allocated before and after school opening hours. Purchases can be made by cash and card at the book fair. Families will also be able to pre-order books online using the QR code on your child’s wishlist and present your receipt number to a staff member at the book fair. If sending money with your child/ren for book purchasing, please send it in a clearly labelled envelope or snap lock bag.

Every book you purchase supports our school and brings more free books to our children to read from the library.

More information and flyers will be sent home at the start of Term 4.

Book Club - Issue 7 arriving early Term 4

Scholastic Book Club is a service offered to students, parents and teachers. Brochures advertising a variety of books and computer software are sent home with each student, approximately twice a term.

Purchase of the books is not compulsory and there is no obligation. If you do wish to purchase any goods simply log into the Book Club site www.scholastic.com.au/LOOP and follow the prompts. All Book Club orders must be ordered and paid for via LOOP. Do not send order forms and cash to school. When the order arrives at school, books are sent home with students.

The School earns “Bonus Points” for each order which can be used to purchase new resources for classroom libraries and the school library.

How to order 

Click on ORDER in the top menu or REGISTER first to save your details for the first time.  Select Ballan PS and your child’s class.  Add your child’s name and last initial. Enter the item number from the brochure.

You can order for multiple children at once. All orders are linked directly to the school.  

Our school receives bonus points, which are redeemed for a variety of books for the children therefore we thank you for your continued support.

If parents wish to collect orders personally from the office, please let the school know.
