Going to camp was a fun and amazing experience that I loved. Getting there was quite exhausting and tiring as we had to get to school at 7:30am, plus, the whole trip was 2-3 hours! But it was incredible. When we got there we went straight to lunch, and lined up in the cafeteria. We ate a burger bun with a patty, with toppings like lettuce, beetroot, carrots, tomatoes and cheese. After that, we settled in our cabins with our roommates then got ready for some camp activities. My favourite activity was the dual flying fox. It was a huge zipline that went across a bunch of trees. When my friend and I went together, we got to see the breathtaking view with all the lime, green trees and crystal, clear streams and rivers. For dinner, we got spaghetti with garlic bread, which was absolutely delicious. As a bonus, for dessert, we got vanilla ice-cream! When we were done, everyone got to roast marshmallows by the campfire and we played this game called ‘Commando.’ The aim of the game was to find all the hostages, but not get tagged by the teachers. It was very enjoyable to play with your friends and campers, plus it helped us become independent as we got to hike around on our own. Soon after, we went to bed at 9:00pm and we had to wake up at 6:00am which was so early! An extremely funny moment that I loved was when Miss Bejain rolled down the sandhill with us! She seemed like she enjoyed it a lot. My camp experience has taught me about teamwork, how you have to listen to one another and be kind. I recommend going to The Aussie Bush Camp, for any kid who likes going on adventures. 4.5 gold stars!

Going to The Great Aussie Bush Camp was a terrific experience that I enjoyed. Arriving at school at 7:30am was extremely tiring , as I had to wake up really early so I wouldn’t miss the bus trip to the campsite. We had to leave at 8:00am and we arrived there at 11:00am. The trip to The Great Aussie Bush Camp Site was a very long drive. Miss Bejain , Mrs Krishan and Mrs Lee went to camp with us too. The activities that we did at the year 4 camp were incredible, including canoeing, the giant swing, rock climbing, sand dunes, beach activities, Commando, archery, challenge night and initiatives. Every night after dinner, we got vanilla flavoured ice -cream and the dietary restricted students got Zooper Doopers - I liked the ice-cream a lot as I don’t get ice-cream that often . A funny moment was when Miss Bejain tried to climb up the sand dunes but it took her a while to get up the hill. I was proud of her for making it to the top. Another funny moment was when a classmate of mine was screaming when she was on the giant swing because she was terrified. The best moment was when I played Commando with my friends because I got to explore the wilderness with them. My favourite activity was when I went on the dual flying fox that travelled across Lake Ivan with Raylee. This was my favourite activity because it felt like I was flying across the breezy lake. I learnt that I can’t always be in a group with my friends and that I have other students to work together with and to also build some new friendships with. I also learnt a few life skills at camp. These life skills helped me to be a little more independent and taught me a lesson about what I should do when I'm in the bush, for example, exploring a different environment.
