Year 5/6 B News

5/6B has been buzzing with excitement this past month! Here are some of the things we’ve celebrated throughout Term 3:

  • Our Inquiry project led to some engaging science experiments and campaign speeches. The students embraced the opportunity to delve deeper into their chosen topics, sharing their knowledge with great enthusiasm.
  • Ayda shared that she particularly enjoyed learning new spelling strategies during Learning Launch, while Roujy found great satisfaction in practising her maths fluency.
  • The students all agreed that their understanding of telling the time has greatly improved after recent math lessons!

Beyond the classroom, we've been staying active in the following ways:

  • Exciting games of capture the flag, extreme dodgeball, Eda's special brand of soccer, and rounds of strike ball.
  • A definite highlight for the class was a visit from the Essendon Football Club! Captain Zak Merrett himself led the students through a series of drills, leaving them energized and inspired.
  • Bilal recounted his experience at Interschool Sports as another highlight, sharing his passion for both tennis and rugby.

5/6B students also enjoyed engaging in different extracurricular activities:

  • From the strategic minds of the Chess Club to the creative hands of the Knitting Club, there was something for everyone.
  • The PE Club keeps us moving, the Art Club lets our creativity flow, and Footy Colours Day brought out our team spirit.

It's been an amazing term filled with learning, laughter, and unforgettable moments in 5/6B!
