Br Patrick Doolan Medal

Each year at Presentation Night, outstanding service to the College by a staff member, teaching or non-teaching, or a member of the Norbertine community is awarded the Br Patrick Doolan Medal.

Staff, students and parents are invited to lodge nominations in writing by completing the attached nomination form. Nominations are due at the end of Week 1 of Term 4 - Friday 17 October 2025. A selection panel will process the nominations and select the awardee.

Selection Guidelines                         

  • Awardee is on staff for some or all of current calendar year;

  • Exemplary service performing their normal range of duties;

  • Contribution to the extended College and Norbertine Community;

  • Innovation(s) to College e.g. introduction of new policy/idea/project etc

  • Extracurricular involvement;

  • Examples of service /ministry to the Mission / Norbertine ethos;

Consideration of candidate’s service is not restricted to the current year.

A reminder that Presentation Night will be held at the College on Wednesday 29 October at 7:00pm. It is a compulsory event for all students and at least one parent. Please mark the date in your calendar.

 

 

Please pray for our Year 11 students who are currently preparing for selection into leadership positions for 2026.

Planning for Next Year – Student Enrolment Intentions

As we begin planning for the next school year, we kindly ask families to inform us in writing if your child will not be returning to our school in 2026.

 

This information is essential for our staffing, class placements, and resource planning. If your child will be transferring to another school or program, please include the name of the destination in your written notice.

A Family Calendar for Term 3 is uploaded into SEQTA. Below are upcoming whole school significant dates:

 

Term 3 whole school significant dates:

  • Saturday 20 September – 60th Anniversary Community Day

  • Wednesday 24 September – Term 3 concludes for Year 12 students

  • Thursday 25 September – Term 3 concludes for Years 7 to 11 students

 

Term 4 commences as follows:

  • All Year 7-11 students – Monday 13 October at 8:50am (in Summer College Uniform)

  • Year 12 ATAR Pathway students – Monday 13 October at 8:50am (in Summer College Uniform) 

  • Year 12 Vocational Pathway students – Friday 17 October at 8.50am (in Summer College Uniform) 

Year 12 Information

SCSA Handbooks (Part I and II) are available on SEQTA Documents as well as in the Year 12 Team. They are an excellent reference for all important information regarding graduation, examinations, student information and certification. Students have been provided with an Organisational Booklet that takes them through the key events and information that they will need to prepare for in the lead up to Graduation and final examinations. The arrangements for Year 12 Graduation are proceeding well with Mr Aaron D'Souza, Ms Cecilia Loh, Mrs Colette Miranda, Miss Carrol Abel and the Graduation Committees doing an amazing amount of work. 

 

Information and invites for the Year 12 Graduation Mass and Ceremony will be sent out next week. 

 

Some of the important dates that Year 12 students and their families need to plan for are listed below:

  • Term 3 concludes for Year 12 students: Wednesday 24 September 

  • College ATAR Exams: Tuesday 30 September – Wednesday 8 October

  • ATAR students return to school: Monday 13 October

  • All Year 12 students return Friday 17 October, for their House Assemblies and College Farewell Rehearsals. 

  • Year 12 ATAR Seminars: Monday 20 October - Thursday 23 October

  • Year 12 Breakfast, College Farewell Assembly, Graduation Rehearsal and Graduation Mass: Friday 24 October

  • ATAR Written Exams: Monday 30 October – Friday 20 November

Parent Committee and Father’s Day Breakfast

Thank you so much to our Parent Committee for organising and hosting the Father’s Day Breakfast on Thursday 4 September. Thank you also to Fr John for leading our celebrations in prayer and for to the staff who helped out. It was a lovely morning honouring the fathers, grandfathers and significant father role models in the lives of our students. 

The Parent Committee have provided students with 3 table tennis tables and equipment. A BIG THANK YOU again to the PARENT COMMITTEE!!!! We are sure the students will enjoy playing table tennis during their recess and lunch times. The tables are located in: 

  • Hugh Court – Years 7/8 use

  • Sayn Court – Years 9/10 use

  • Isfrid Court – Years 11/12 use
