Learning at Meadowbank

Book Week Celebrations
Last Monday 1 September, Meadowbank celebrated Book Week with parades in the morning and a book fair in the hall.
Over $8,000 worth of purchases were made. Scholastic will now share a portion of proceeds with the school to fund new books and other resources, providing students with even more opportunities to explore and enjoy reading.
In addition to expanding our library collection, we raised $164 for the Dymocks Children’s Charities Library Boost Project. Every dollar raised will be matched to provide resources to some of the most disadvantaged schools in Australia.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make Book Week a success. We look forward to seeing our students dive into their new books and continue fostering a love of reading throughout the year.
Here are a few snaps from the event!
K-2 Athletics Carnival
Well done to all our K-2 students and teachers for a fantastic event last Wednesday 3 September. We had beautiful weather and students had so much fun participating in a range of activities. To see photos from this event, head over to our school's Facebook page!
Science Day at Marsden High School
Last Wednesday, some students from Years 3-6 visited Marsden High School's science laboratories. A team of high school students led us through a series of different experiments like making slime, replicating the cycle of rain and doing the flame test. Here are some photos.
