Year 3 & 4 

This term the 3/4 students have learned about poetry. They have worked hard to use descriptive language and expand their vocabulary. They have demonstrated high skills in creative writing and are working on publishing their work by putting together a poetry anthology to take home. 

Blue

Blue looks like rain drops falling from the sky,

Blue sounds like waves gushing up to shore,

Blue smells like sea salt at the beach,

Blue feels like a soft cuddly blanket,

Blue tastes like yummy gummy sharks,

Blue is calming.

Green 

Green looks like the sweet green leaves,

Green sounds like trees swaying side to side,

Green smells like mentos minty fun!

Green feals like nice calm grass in a field,

Green tases like sour green apples,

Green is the yuck emotion.

Yellow

Yellow looks like a sunflower,

Yellow sounds like a humming sound from a yellow singing bird,

Yellow smells like a fresh pineapple that just got picked off a bush,

Yellow feels like a little duckling drying off after a morning swim,

Yellow tastes like a fresh banana that is soft in the inside with a fresh lemonade,

Yellow is a calm and happy relaxing feeling.

Wind is cold today

The breeze feels cool I am cold
