Father's Day Exp - Thank You!

Every year DCS Community runs an amazing Father’s Day Stall which provides the opportunity for students to purchase a small gift for their dad or loved one and this year, in addition to our usual Father’s Day Stall, we invited DCS families to have a market stall to sell their own items, and we had a wonderful response!

The students had lots of items to choose from including homemade relish, vibrant socks, homemade rocky road, and some beautiful handmade soaps for dad with a real rustic feel.

The great range of items available made the expo buzz! The students loved purchasing for their dads and loved ones. Even staff were excited to buy some delicious relish!

Thank you to all our DCS Community volunteers for helping to run such a successful expo, we couldn’t have done it without you!

We can’t wait to see what next year brings…

DCS Breakfast Club

At DCS we love to offer some nutritious breakfast to our students on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is in partnership with Devonport Chaplaincy and Loaves and Fishes. All students are welcome to come to the Jiloa Centre from 8.10am on our scheduled days to grab some nutritious breakfast to energise them for the rest of the day.

We can’t wait to see all our students for Breakfast Club!

DCS Community Food Drive

This spring, DCS Community are joining with City Mission in collecting non-perishable food items to bless the DCS community and the broader community to provide some relief during these tough times.

School families are invited to donate any non-perishable goods. Some ideas are:

  • Tinned fruit and vegetables

  • Baked beans or spaghetti

  • Long life milk and fruit juice

  • Pasta

  • Cereal

  • Tinned or packet soups

  • Jars of ready to cook sauces

  • Rice

  • Coconut cream

  • Frozen vegetables

50% of donated items will be given to City Mission to bless the broader community.

50% of donated items will be used to bless families within the DCS community.

Items that go towards DCS community families will either be grouped together to make a meal or used individually in a gift bag as a blessing. Any items left over at the end of the school year will be donated to Loaves and Fishes to bless the wider Devonport Community.

We thank you for your generosity.

Blessings,

DCS Community
