FLECS Trip - Ti-tree

This week Ti-Tree School is host to nine excited Year 10 and 11 students from St Philip's for our 3rd FLECS trip. With a strong science focus, our team are hoping to bring new ideas, creativity and the opportunity to develop the love of exciting experiments in chemistry, biology and physics! FLECS is an acronym for:

Fostering positive relationships

Leading and learning

Exchange of ideas

Creating cultural understanding

Serving others -

which ncapsulates the aim and hopes of this exciting partnership.

Over the last two years we have shared student engagement, sporting activities and the Ti Tree Mob have enjoyed showing off their skills, talents and lives with their visitors!

This partnership offers our students the chance to renew friendships, build new ones and create lifelong memories and a deeper understanding of life in Central Australia. For three of our students it also provides a ‘residential project’ which is enabling them to achieve their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.

FLECS is an exciting partnership, that we are growing each year and we look forward to sharing our highlights when we return!

Thank you to Ti Tree School for giving us this wonderful opportunity to learn, contribute and work alongside.
