Work Experience Opportunity
Victoria Police placement – 30/6/2025 – 04/07/2025
Our school has secured 1 work experience placement with Victoria Police in the Wodonga office. Placements with Victoria Police are very limited and only able to be secured through school. Students must be 15+ years of age, and in Year 10, 11 or 12.
If you are interested in being considered for this work experience placement with Victoria Police, please email Ms Macklan by Wednesday 19th February 2025 and answer the following questions:
- Please explain why you are interested in undertaking work experience with Victoria Police. (max 150 words)
- What do you hope to learn from undertaking work experience with Victoria Police? (max 150 words)
- Do you plan to pursue a career in the police force following graduation from secondary education? Yes/No
- If Yes – are there any specialty areas, you are interested in learning more about and why? (max 150 words)
Parliament of Victoria - Term 3 or 4 - Apply now
Expressions of interest to complete a work experience placement at the Parliament of Victoria in terms 3 and 4, 2025 are now open. To lodge an expression of interest please go to the online link.
Students can choose between two programs, Sitting or Services, and placements are open to students in Victorian schools who are residents of Victoria, and are aged 15 years or over at the time of the placement.
Parliamentary Sitting placements provide the opportunity to see the law-making process up close.
Parliamentary Services placements offer a variety of opportunities that can be matched with a broad range of student interests and career goals, including business operations, facilities management and maintenance, broadcast (Hansard), and hospitality (kitchen).

Career in Medicine or Dentistry?
Are you in Year 10, 11 or 12 and considering a career in Medicine or Dentistry?
Students considering a career in medicine or dentistry, during Year 12 will need to sit a compulsory entry exam known as the UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test) before they can apply for relevant placements in the aforementioned fields of study within most universities in Australia.

Explore Day is your chance to check out what life at Charles Sturt University is like!
Students may wish to register and individually attend the CSU Explore Day. The day will run from 9am to 2pm. Students must register online and select their sessions of interest.
Additional CSU explore days will be held on different dates in March at the other campus locations (Wagga Wagga, Bathurst and Port Macquarie)
