Dear Parents/Guardians,
Glasses for Kids Program P-3
The glasses for kids program will be visiting our school later this term. This program provides free vision screening and testing for glasses if required for all grade Prep to 3 students. A consent form was sent home today to all children in these grades and is due back by Friday 7th March.
Class Captains
Each class has nominated two class captains for this term. Captains have the responsibility of running class meetings and reporting to me 3 to 4 times per term to share any thoughts and ideas students have for improving our school.

Yard Works - Asphalt
The work on our Asphalt areas has been full steam ahead with most of it removed. The workers are currently levelling everything off and preparing for the laying of the new Asphalt. We can't wait to see it finished!
School Council Elections
Our School Council is calling for nominations from parents to be a part of this dynamic team. School Council meets twice a term on a Tuesday evening and provide direction around a diverse range of school areas ranging from Finance, Curriculum and Grounds and Facilities. Two thirds of the Council needs to be non- DET employees to ensure a strong community voice. Please consider nominating. Forms are available at the Office and self-nominations are accepted. If there are more nominations than vacancies an election will be held.

Our annual meeting will be held on Tuesday 18th March. At this meeting we elect this year’s Officer Bearers and then hold the General meeting and get our School Council business underway. School Council exists to represent parents and to provide a strong voice in what happens at the school. If you are interested in joining School council please collect a nomination form from the office.
Pupil free day - Term 1
Each year schools are granted 4 pupil free days and a Professional Practice Day by the Department. These dates may change each year depending on the needs of the school and must be approved by School Council. Our first day pupil free day for this year is on Tuesday 11th of March.
