Flexible Work for School Leaders Initiative

In a recent School Update it was announced that an additional 100 grants have been made available for school leaders who wish to apply for the Flexible work for School Leaders Initiative in 2025. The initiative aims to support Principals and Assistant Principals to put in place flexible work arrangements, including part-time roles in order to promote work-life balances.
The funding provides for 0.2 FTE of a school leader’s salary in an eligible flexible work arrangement for up to 12 months. This is a wonderful initiative, and I know colleagues in other states greatly admire and even envy the leadership and innovation demonstrated through this effort.

To apply, principals should submit an expression of interest for themselves or on behalf of school leaders in their school who want to apply. (Note that the initiative is open to principals, assistant principals, learning specialists and leading teachers).
