Year 2 Art: Jean-Michel Basquiat Dinosaurs 

After exploring the energetic, abstract and often chaotic artworks by American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, Year 2 students created an abstract, graffiti style background. They went for it, scraping different coloured paints.

Inspired by Basquiat’s Pez Dispenser artwork, they sketched a dinosaur using figurines to guide them. Oil pastels were used to colour the dinosaurs and golden crowns were added.
