Lalor District Futsal Competition

We're absolutely delighted to share some exciting news about our girls' futsal team, who recently participated in the Lalor District Futsal Tournament on Friday, 25th August 2023. The team put on a stellar performance, finishing tied for 3rd place out of 11 schools - A remarkable achievement that speaks volumes about their skill, dedication, and teamwork.

The girls played four exhilarating matches, each one filled with skilful plays and strategic moves. But what truly set our team apart was their extraordinary sportsmanship. They were gracious in both victory and defeat, always making it a point to congratulate other teams on their efforts. The phrase "good game" was a constant chorus, heard after each match, reflecting the team's impeccable values.

In addition to their sportsmanship, the girls also demonstrated an inclusive team spirit that made every member feel welcome and part of the group. This sense of inclusivity not only boosted team morale, but also contributed to their overall success in the tournament. It's moments like these that make us incredibly proud to be educators, and we can't wait to see where the team goes from here.

So, a big round of applause for our girls' futsal team! Their performance at the Lalor District Tournament was nothing short of inspirational, and we're looking forward to more exciting sports events and opportunities for our students to shine.🌟👏⚽

On Friday 1 September, our enthusiastic futsal team took part in the Lalor District Futsal Championships. While we didn't notch up any wins in the five games we played, but we held our heads high and showcased outstanding sportsmanship and team spirit.

The event wasn't solely about competition; it was also a day rich with learning experiences and opportunities for personal growth. Our students demonstrated valuable life skills such as teamwork, emotional resilience, and effective communication.

Above all, the championship offered a day filled with fun, excitement, and friendship for everyone involved. Students, teachers, and even parents who attended as supporters, came back with fond memories and enriched spirits. While the scoreboard might not reflect a win, the day was a tremendous success in cultivating the skills and values we aim to instil in our students.

Lalor East PS Shines at Whittlesea Athletics Championships

On September 5th, 2023, young athletes from Lalor East PS aged 10-12 took to the field in the Whittlesea Athletics Championships. The event showcased not just athleticism but also exceptional values that make us proud to be a part of this sporting community.

Our young champions competed in a variety of events including shot put, long jump, triple jump, and hurdles. Each event was a testament to their hard work and dedication, qualities that we foster at Lalor East PS.

Our students performed exceptionally well across all events. But what stood out the most were the values they displayed. The sportsmanship on the field, resilience in the face of challenges, and bravery to try new things were truly commendable. These values embody the spirit of Lalor East PS, and we couldn't be prouder.

A special mention goes to Linda Pulini, who achieved a remarkable 2nd-place finish. Her performance was not just a personal triumph but also an inspiration for all the students and staff at Lalor East PS.

The Whittlesea Athletics Championships was an enriching experience for everyone involved. It allowed our students to shine not just in sports but also as individuals of character. Their performance was a clear reflection of the sportsmanship and values of our educational philosophy at Lalor East PS.
