Principal's message

Dear Parents and Carers,

On Tuesday we celebrated The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This day recognises the unique position of Mary being a beautiful human person, who was taken body and soul to heaven. As well as being our mother, Mary is also seen as a sign of hope and comfort to all Australians. Just like all mothers, Mary showed concern for and guidance of Jesus, all through his life. The bible is full of stories where Mary displayed to us her humanness and connected with Mothers all over the world.

Enrolment Interview Feedback

Over the past few months, I have had the pleasure of undertaking interviews for Kindergarten and other classes for 2024. It has been wonderful meeting so many new families who are very excited about becoming members of our Holy Family community. When I asked them why they had chosen Holy Family for their children the overwhelming response was the importance placed on finding a school that can support and enrich the Catholic values. Other reasons included: the outstanding reputation Holy Family holds in the community, the high standard of education, the wonderful behaviour expected from and displayed by the students, the valued connection they have with the school and the friendly, hospitable and welcoming community the school is renowned for. As principal, it was affirming to hear all these positives and for this I thank the staff, students and you, the parents who are extremely supportive, give valuable feedback and suggestions and value education.

Lindfield Art Show and Fair

As I mentioned in last week's newsletter, the students and staff are brimming with excitement with the news that the Lindfield Art Show and Fair, a much-loved event will be held very soon. Our fabulous P&F Executive Team and organisers are working hard to ensure a fun time for everyone that attends. The LASF is renowned for being an event that is filled with community spirit, attracting plenty of support from students, past students, families, parents, staff, parishioners, local and business communities.

As this is my first year to experience the LASF, I am excited to be part of this wonderful event however I know that its success relies heavily on the support from everyone in the community to get involved. Therefore, this week's newsletter is a special edition with loads of information on how you can get involved in the Lindfield Art Show & Fair. The LASF will be a fantastic opportunity to get to know others in our Holy Family community.

Thank you for your support with the "letterbox drop" to advertise our amazing event. Please spread the word and invite your family and friends.
